::

Monetize their mission and get visible, leveraging podcasts and our huge audience over on the Gnostic TV Network.

::

Today, we are chatting with emily Emily is a certified dream builder and life mastery coach with Brave Thinking Institute. This includes programs for working on goals, celebrating life with consciousness.

::

And making changes in our lives to live one we love She also implements a program with yoga, Ayurveda, and self-actualization as the background for working through mind, body, and spirit aspects of life.

::

Welcome to the show, Emily. I made it through all the hard words

::

You did, you did. You did great. Thank you so much for having me. I'm excited to be here.

::

It's wonderful to meet you and like be on the call with you and recording as well.

::

So I'm going to ask you the big question. Are you ready?

::

Yes, I'm ready.

::

Okay, what's the most significant thing in your opinion as individuals we can do to make an impact on how the world is going?

::

So if we can work towards our own self-actualization and transcendence.

::

We can create a space for other people to work towards that and really create more peace, right?

::

Basically, the idea of internal peace creates more peace externally. That doesn't mean that we… ignore differences or ignore not acknowledge justices that might need to be occurring, but ultimately working on that inner peace So that we can see more peace in that world.

::

Like the vacuum principle you know if you just like You fix your own stuff.

::

You kind of like suck everybody up with you.

::

Yeah, exactly. Exactly. We can… release our internal issues. And when we interact with something, our reaction can become more measured.

::

And actually be able to be more peaceful so that we can help the other people feel that way too.

::

Yeah.

::

Yeah, yeah. Instead of like stirring the pot and making things like We all have things that we all have things bug us that just don't sit right with us The more we dwell on them, the more they come into our periphery. Whereas if we can move towards being grateful.

::

For the things that are going right. I used to have a mantra when we were going through COVID.

::

The whole world was falling apart and going crazy. And my mantra was just, yep.

::

I acknowledge that's happening out there. But for me personally today, the day is good.

::

And I'm okay. And that was enough to keep me from going off the edge because it was like Pandemonium everywhere.

::

That's a good thought, right? And that's something where we all experienced it together too, right? It's like this global humanity having COVID and all these experiences, a lot of grief And a lot of time by ourselves or in like

::

Closed quarters with our loved ones where we have. To work through things. We can't just avoid it. And so that does cause that internal. Your mantra is beautiful, right?

::

That concept of I'm okay, you're okay, and being able to then work through what it is for actually coming up with a solution that works. And that's part of what the dream builder or the life mastery programs complete their brave thinking institute it's figuring out

::

You know, what do we want to feel differently? And then knowing that our feelings Well, our thoughts cause our feelings.

::

And our feelings cause our actions and our actions cause our results.

::

So if we want different results, right? We've got to come up with a different thought and a different feeling and being able to do that in a peaceful way, right? So we feel good About our response, we feel good about our actions

::

Then we can feel good about our results or we can say.

::

Okay, that's not what I was looking for. This was a good test.

::

And I can try again because i can try again were capable of that. One of the three keys, just knowing that that's possible.

::

But what are the other two keys? Because that one is a very important one that change is always possible.

::

You're not stuck in a track. Maybe deep rut, but you can climb out of it.

::

Yes, yes. The other two keys, one is Just like when we first tried to walk, we probably fell at least once. So we know that there are times that we feel. And we didn't just say, I'm not going to walk, right? We said.

::

I still want to go see mom or dad or my brother or sister and or whatever toy, food, whatever it was.

::

And we went that direction and we learned to walk so we know that we're capable of more than our experiences and we can truly make it through that. And that's a big thing to know, right? That we're bigger than just this human

::

Physical body. We have spirit and we have that connection And when we feel full as ourselves self-actualized or transcendent, connected to that spirit.

::

There's nothing that can stop us. And the world is our oyster.

::

So we can truly create this experience for us in our lives And help others have a great experience too.

::

Third thing?

::

The third thing is deciding. So we have the option.

::

To either hang out and say, I don't like this. And I still don't like it. And we can complain.

::

We can do all these things that are preventing us from moving towards what we might know we want to do.

::

So if there's some longing or discontent. It's good to know that our actions are going to help us resolve that. And then we're going to feel better And our thoughts are going to be better.

::

And we'll then get to the point where our life is better.

::

And doing that in a way that's truly beneficial, right? It's not necessarily saying.

::

You know, that person stepped on my ant or dumped out my ant farm. So I'm going to go dump out theirs it's having the understanding of having the understanding of Okay, that happened. I can go collect some new ants or set out some food, something to have them all come back.

::

But knowing that that's really where we're headed and deciding internally We want something different and we want to do it in a way that's peaceful.

::

That begs the question, which comes first, the thoughts or the action?

::

It is a great thing. And this is where we can get pretty deep into the issue is in the tissue kind of thing or even analysis from what was it like when we were a child or when someone else was a child?

::

Was the psychology of it. You can also even get into Other things beyond, right? Like what is happening in our dreams you know what is the meaning of Why did I hop on this train with people I didn't know? You know, it could be very simple.

::

But all of that does give us the idea of we're having an experience when we're awake.

::

And we're having subconscious thoughts We're having unconscious thoughts and we're having thoughts when we transcend that are connected to everyone else. So we are energy as part of that So in my estimation.

::

The thoughts will lead to the actions. But the actions do have to come from a point of where we feel like they're coming from a good space.

::

And know that the action is going to have a reaction, right? Science has proven that many times.

::

Yeah.

::

There's no denying that. And when that reaction occurs. What are we going to do with that? Are there things that we need to adjust in our thoughts or in our future actions and learn?

::

And when we can truly learn, then we don't have to worry about that principle of saying.

::

Okay, I failed. I'm done. You know, you can continue. There's still opportunity and it's abundant. The universe will work with you.

::

It's just feedback. There's never failure. There's only feedback.

::

Yes, that's Thomas Edison, right? Yeah. Yeah. He's got a quote about it. You're good.

::

I think so. It's not original.

::

Yeah.

::

So what is your one small step theory?

::

So the one small stop theory is If you have a vision or a dream, a place you want to be, a person you want to be.

::

Figuring out one small stop about what you can do with what you have today. So maybe your dream or your goal is to be living by the ocean.

::

Or by a lake. So what do you do? In order to do that, if you are living in the middle of a cornfield or you're living somewhere where it's mountainous and you don't have that.

::

The one stop is What do I have today?

::

What can I do to move that forward? And then start to feel better about that so that more thoughts can come in for how to solve that internal issue that the person is having or that internal want or longing rather than saying.

::

Man, I just don't think it can happen or it's not going to happen. So I don't want to do anything.

::

That one stop gives us a little bit more pride, a little bit more willpower For the next time for something to come up to feel like we want to move forward and do that.

::

Sometimes just getting into action Just half the battle. You know, you may have thoughts I've learned from manifesting, and I'm pretty good at manifesting things.

::

But it's a combination of thinking, but also taking inspired action.

::

And as you're thinking about what you want your life to look like or the experience that you want to have It's starting to play pull together the environment And the inspiration that comes, I don't know, it comes from somewhere.

::

God, the universe. The unicorns in my case.

::

Yeah.

::

But you start to get ideas about things that you could do And just like small steps, just moving in that direction it starts to open up more opportunities for you and you don't have to take all of the opportunities. You need to look at them and say, is this going to move me closer to my goal or further from my goal?

::

Keeps you from the shiny object syndrome that, you know. I don't know about you, but I do have that problem.

::

Oh, a new puzzle. Let's play with it for a while.

::

Slow stuff down. But it's about getting into action.

::

And sometimes small action is much better than big action.

::

Yeah, definitely. So that shiny object of maybe wanting to take a long hike with your family members at some point as you get older or wanting to be able to have a successful career when you're really young, right? Like knowing this is what you want to do and that's in the future. All of that action we've got to do inspired yeses and inspired no's.

::

So knowing that we are making decisions along the way and that inspiration that feeling that comes with it is helping us take that action.

::

And when you learn to walk, it's one thing right there's rolling, crawling, getting up on your feet, standing up for the first time Then there's running, there's jumping, and there's all these other things. And we don't just learn to run right after we walk like, oh, I got walking down. So now I'm going to do running.

::

We might like run a little bit and be like, whoa, that was fast. I don't know what I think about that.

::

And we might run a little bit and be like, whoa, I'm like flying. And then, you know, we might want to actually fly and jump off of the couch or whatever it is and Possibly get in trouble but also

::

You know have that experience of there's more. And so that's our internal spirit saying Yeah, go for it. We've got this internal fire And life is beautiful.

::

So let's try it. Even later in life, right? So moving from a little bit when it's easier to understand and being a little kid, we've all experienced some of those.

::

No matter our circumstances, right? Some people walk on their hands But when we get older, sometimes we can feel like, I just don't want to get out of the house.

::

You know, it's hard for me to get motivated to work out or to go to a yoga class or go to Pilates and Sometimes it's just getting in the making it to the gym.

::

Maybe it's the next time it's getting in the car going into the gym, you know, those small steps are building the habit.

::

Or if it's taking a walk. You know, walk to the sidewalk, walk the driveway maybe walk to the next house.

::

Depending on where a person is at. Those are small stops that can have really big gains Because our brain likes to learn and it likes to work through those habits And then once we get the habits.

::

The brain says, this is easy. And it just says, all right, that neuron is firing and it's firing the same way every time.

::

So I can do it and that's Part of what building the habit is we can get into habit stacking of course But that's a little bit more. So adding something else. Maybe you want to eat healthy so you take your walk and then you eat something healthy.

::

But that's all part of the neuroscience in the brain and how it all works.

::

With the emotions. The mind and then also that physical piece, depending on what we're doing And it can also have impact on those around you, right?

::

So once one person starts walking you may Find some new friends while you're out walking that can really lighten up our lives.

::

Because we start to attract, you mentioned manifesting and we're manifesting this life we like, right?

::

But you start to attract other people who are Like, yeah, I want to walk too. Or I want to learn to run or I want to do uh hundred mile run For those people that are truly dedicated.

::

Then that's where life starts getting good and we can continue to make that change and be where we want to be.

::

Maybe if it was a lake in the original example, it could be going to the lake.

::

And just sitting by it and meeting people that either live there Or might be calling up your friends and saying, hey, do you have some land?

::

Whatever it is. You know, there's options.

::

Options for experiences. So how do you I'll ask you this. How do you coach people? Is it like groups, one-on-one courses? How does all that

::

So I do some of both one-on-one or groups. Different people like to have different experiences and one-on-one is a little different than group experience.

::

So I do both. And with that, we do have set things in place.

::

Through the Brave Thinking Institute, we have a program where you can listen or watch a video And then we'll talk about it.

::

During the hour for that week. It's the same thing on an individual basis.

::

For the Ayurveda and the yoga. That would be more intense we're going to do some yoga. We're going to do some movement, which also includes meditation breathwork, checking in with the body. And then we start to work on the internal part of the body nutrition

::

What is a person eating? How much water do they have per day? All of those things.

::

That's a little bit more in depth working on some of those habits.

::

And physical emotional, mental do come up The program with the dream builder and the Life Mastery are more about Where are you at in this mental? And then taking that action to move forward and helping a person do that.

::

It's not always easy. And that's why we have coaches to help do it and say, hey, you're doing great or Let's work on that a little bit, right? We've got to have a little bit of both so that we work towards really what the outcome we want to have.

::

And work through that shiny object part too.

::

It helps having a coach. And there's a difference between a coach and a teacher.

::

A teacher is somebody that shows you how to do something that you may not have done before or how to do something in a different way than you've done before. Whereas a coach takes you from where you're at and helps you really master a skill.

::

And to amplify your abilities. In doing something, an exercise And an exercise can be more than just physically moving. It could be a mental exercise or a spiritual exercise.

::

But that's It's good to have a coach when you're when you're trying to get perspective on some of these pieces of our lives.

::

Like just getting getting in touch with what you're thinking about is huge I think so many people don't really think about what they're thinking about.

::

Yeah, I think, and I love your distinction between the coach and the teacher because There are times where there are times where we've got to be open to that coach too for the feedback.

::

But also there are times where we just need to learn, hey, I can… do this and I can do it really well. So I'm going to keep doing it And so knowing that, but the coach part, I think that's a great distinction to be able to say.

::

There's someone there. They believe in you And you're not just attending a class or attending something and then there's nothing afterwards.

::

It's a continual process. We may have that appreciation for a teacher. So I don't mean anything by that, but still having the coach really gets you beyond And we see our full potential. And that's more about the self-actualization and that transcendence.

::

We then create resilience and we're able to better deal with what's going on around us.

::

And notice… all those things that we are thinking or notice the things that are happening.

::

Within the universe because within the universe because We may say.

::

Hey, I want to live by the lake. And then all of a sudden the next day there may be somebody that comes up to you that wants to talk and all of a sudden you've got a connection that maybe lives by a lake or they are selling their house

::

Happen.

::

You never know. Yeah, it's amazing what we can do and how the universe really works with us when it aligns and fulfills our spirit, really.

::

Love that. So how do people get in touch with you and Learn about your different services because you have more than like one service and you also offer some products So…

::

Yes, yes. So my website is www.edu. Embody in mind yoga.

::

And that's embody without the E. And in instead of and.

::

So that we can embody the practice and work through it in our minds.

::

But that's my website and you can definitely book something through there, either a class or coaching.

::

Through that program. You're also welcome to reach out on Instagram, Facebook, those things as well.

::

And once we connect, we typically do a strategy session for about 30 minutes, sometimes 45, just to get a good idea of what best would suit that person's needs because it may be something where I can share and the person is set and they're good to go.

::

It may be something more intense where maybe we need to work through some healing or work through some other things and we might do some products for the Ayurvedic portion and solve and maybe feel better internally and then emotions or other things start coming up and our thoughts start. So we might want to get more into the coaching

::

And sometimes people are just like, I'm in for the coaching.

::

Because they know that it's going to get them there no matter the rest of it.

::

Perfect. So you've got something for everyone.
